Umbrella payroll companies process invoices for contract work through a HMRC approved payroll system. They record your time, submit it for line manager approval and issue invoices to your agent. When they receive the monies, they pay HMRC any Tax [1] and National Insurance (NI) due and pay the reminder in salary. Payment, deductions [2] and NI contributions are detailed in a payslip to employees. There are no further personal, corporate, on account tax or VAT bills with an umbrella company.
